The path to lasting relief starts with treating your body as a whole

For over 27 years, I've been helping people overcome chronic pain through a comprehensive whole-body approach

Hi, I’m Brandon Sutton

I'm a licensed bodywork therapist specializing in the John Barnes Method of myofascial release (MFR), a transformative therapy that relieves pain and restores function by addressing the root causes of your pain and restrictions.

I’ve spent over 27 years supporting people to experience relief from chronic pain, improve mobility, and reclaim their active lifestyles. I see the body as a structure, a complete interconnected system where everything works together. This perspective forms the foundation of my approach to healing.

When you're experiencing pain in one area, I look at your entire body to understand the full picture. Unlike traditional therapies that might only focus on the shoulder that hurts, I recognize that your hip, neck, and entire structural alignment might play essential roles in your healing process.

"Brandon has worked miracles for me"

"Chronic pain in my back and hips is now gone.

No drugs, no surgery.

I came to Brandon with shoulder pain that was so intense I would cry.

The doctor couldn't find the problem. Brandon worked it out."

My journey to myofascial release was personal

Here are some other things you should know about me and my approach

I discovered MFR through my own experience with back pain. After a significant injury where I fell and broke my neck and wrist, I needed to find effective ways to heal my body.

Wearing a hard neck brace for six months and dealing with damaged nerve pathways that caused numbness in my fingers gave me firsthand understanding of the vulnerability that comes with injury and chronic pain.

I know what it feels like when you're afraid to have anyone touch an injured area, and when you wonder if you'll ever feel ‘normal’ again.

This personal journey gives me a unique perspective and deep empathy for what you might be experiencing. It's also why I'm passionate about providing this specific type of bodywork that creates such profound change.

"I am a doctor and I’ve been treated by Brandon several times"

"I find myofascial release to be very effective and Brandon has a gift.

He can feel where the problem is deep in the tissue and relieve the adhesions and pain.

I highly recommend him."

What Makes My Approach Different

My work isn't traditional massage therapy—there's no oil or lotion, no rhythmic kneading or standard routines. Instead, I use gentle, sustained pressure to sink into the tissue and meet it at the barrier, then wait for it to soften rather than forcing through.

I see my role not as ‘fixing’ you, but as facilitating your body's natural healing process.

This treatment invites your body to release restrictions, creating space for it to return to its optimal alignment and function.

"Brandon was referred to me by a very respected trainer"

"I’d injured my shoulder.

After (2) sessions I can sleep & do daily activities without pain.

I'll be meeting him regularly for "maintenance".

Never had a myofascial massage before and can't believe what I'd been missing!"

Your body, mind and spirit are deeply connected

When your fascia is released and your body can move freely, the benefits extend far beyond just physical relief.

My professional background

I graduated from the Carolina School of Massage Therapy in 1998 and am licensed in Massage and Bodywork Therapy (LMBT #2468).

From 1998-2005, I maintained a private practice in Chapel Hill, NC while also serving members of the Chapel Hill/Carrboro and Durham YMCAs. In 2005, I relocated my practice to Morehead City, NC, where I've been ever since.

Every year, I continue to deepen my knowledge and skills through advanced training in the John Barnes Method of Myofascial Release and other complementary approaches. This ongoing education allows me to offer you the most effective treatments possible.

Beyond the treatment room

When I'm not in my treatment room, you might find me hiking, biking, sailing, practicing yoga, or kayaking around the beautiful Crystal Coast. I believe in living an active, balanced life—the same kind of life I help my clients reclaim through my work.

I'm actively involved in our community, supporting the Downtown Morehead City Revitalization Association and volunteering on the Board of Adjustment for Morehead City.

Other ways I contribute to the community is by using my real estate license. It’s satisfying to help clients or friends of friends find the space their looking for, move onto their next thing, or strategize how to create the best use of a property with a big picture approach.

If you’re looking for someone you can talk honestly and openly with about your property goals, someone who can strategize the best plan for you, or help you find the best fit even if there’s nothing on the market you see right now, click here to get in touch.

"Brandon is a rare find as a therapist!"

"Brandon is an incredibly skilled therapist and he is very attuned to the needs and particularities of his clients. Myofacial release can be a powerful modality as Brandon demonstrated with his massage and attention to my problem areas.

I so appreciated how he took ample time getting to know me and my needs before starting.

During the treatment Brandon constantly checked in with me to make sure I was comfortable and the pressure was appropriate AND effective.

This is a man who is very well trained and attuned to the body and holistic balance, wellness, and vibrancy."
